Walkin’ & Rollin’ Costumes’ mission statement: To provide any child with special needs equipment a unique and custom-built costume, free of charge to the family.
The men behind the magic are Lon Davis and his son Reece. Reece might physically be bound to a wheelchair, but through the magic of creativity cosplayer’s vessel has been everything from Wall-e -to- Big Hero 6 -to- the Star Wars Rebel’s Ghost!
29 Pixel Studios, Lon and Reece all met at Planet Comicon in Kansas City when we offered free professional photography to anyone in costume, back in 2015. Through that encounter, a couple professional photography and video projects sprouted. Which were surprising byproducts of the cosplay photography booth!
The real fun began when Lon needed an about us video for Walkin’ & Rollin’ Costumes’. What an honor!
Note from Nick – “Ok, it’s no secret that I am an uber geek. Grew up on Star Wars and Legos. I’ve been to a small handful of cons and am always in awe of cosplayers’ and their talented accomplishments. I would LOVE to walk around as Boba Fett. Explore a con as a Stormtrooper, but I know an addiction when I see one. For me, *at this time in my life* diving into cosplay would be dangerous. So, when Lon asked me to film this video, I couldn’t wait to start working! Oh, and we got to meet Spencer Wilding! The guy that played Darth Vader in Rogue One!”
