Understanding Combined Arms Warfare Documentary Film!

It’s with great pride that we share our latest documentary film: Understanding Combined Arms Warfare! 29 Pixel Studios took this from script to finished product for Army University Films under a contract with BMA.

Gary Linhart, an employee of Army University Films, wrote, directed, and was the main narrator for the film and our very own Amber Remboldt was in charge of this film from 29 Pixel Studios. BIG CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU AMBER!

Sara Carlsen, team lead for 29 Pixel Studios’ film production, played a support role with animations. Andrew Cornwell continues to prove he is ‘the MAN’ when it comes to audio engineering and coaching. Spencer Bowers, the most talented Adobe Illustrator wizard you will ever meet played a role in some of the graphic elements! Nick Schale created the 2D/3D animations for “trench world.”

This was 29 Pixel Studios first focused effort to utilize Unreal Engine and we are all very pleased with the results. We are pushing our development even further for our film on the Warsaw Uprising (Spring 2023). We couldn’t have done this without the efforts of Megan Anderchuk and Justin Moore, extremely talented 3D modelers working with Army University’s Staff Ride Team.

In the early stages of research and writing, we visited the exceptional National WWI Museum and Memorial in Kansas City. They were a joy to work with and we thank them! We hope the first section of this film makes you proud!

We would love your support in watching and giving feedback on the documentary! If you enjoyed a thumbs up and subscribe would be much appreciated!

A short bit of details about Understanding Combined Arms Warfare

Designed to support the U.S. Army Captains Career Course, “Understanding Combined Arms Warfare” defines and outlines the important aspects of modern combined arms operations. This is not a complete history of combined arms warfare. It is intended to highlight the most important aspects of the subject.

The beginning of the documentary establishes a common understanding of combined arms warfare by discussing doctrinal and equipment developments in World War I. The second part compares the development of French and German Army mechanization during the interwar period and describes how each country fared during the Battle of France in 1940.  The film concludes by showing how the United States applied combined arms operations in the European Theater in World War II.
