Wedding services retired.

From Nick– Over 15 years ago, I offered to video weddings. That service expanded into photography some years later. When 29 Pixel Studios was formed, cinematic and photography services were offered as well.

It is difficult to put into words how much joy I feel scrolling through Facebook and seeing my work represented in profile pictures years after the ceremony. The pride I feel when talking with the happy couple after we deliver the photos and video. And how important the role these pieces of art will play for that couple’s grandchildren.

29 Pixel Studios has grown in the last few years. We have won multi-year contracts with the government, picked up a handful of commercial scale clients and added full-time artists to bring our team up five.

With that growth requires some re-focusing of the business. I felt the company was at a crossroad some years ago; do we continue offering weddings or not. I know we could become a premiere brand in the wedding cinematography/photography field, but chose to focus on another path.

This decision was not taken lightly. I truly have a blast creating art from one of the most precious days in a couple’s life. It has always been an honor to be trusted with that responsibility.

Moving forward our focus will be commercial clients, documentary films, dance studios and government contracts. Those are the areas where we already have a strong foothold and the most potential to grow and support the 29 Pixel Studios team.

The skill of saying, ‘no’ to jobs is a skill entrepreneurs constantly have to refine. I could fully see 29 Pixel Studios having a wedding division year from now, but until that time comes, we are no longer offering wedding cinematography and photography.

A sincere thank you to all the brides and grooms we have met along the way!
